21st Anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas: Major facts about the India-Pakistan war 1999
Kargil Vijay Diwas also called by the name successful Operation Vijay later on, is celebrated in India on 26 July. On this day in 1999 India successfully took command of the high outposts which had been lost to Pakistan and win the war.
India is celebrating the 21st Anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas on today to pay tributes to the brave martyrs who laid down their lives to uphold for our nation during the 1999 Kargil War.
On July 26, every year, the nation commemorates the success of “Operation Vijay”, which was launched by the Indian Army to recapture the glacial heights and strategic viewpoints in the Kargil-Dras sector of Ladakh region.
