To save humanity Tamil Nadu village lived without streetlights to protect the bird’s nest.

Over 35 Days approximately village in Shivaganga district (Tamil Nadu) to Protect a Bird’s Nest living without the streetlights.

Village in Pothakudi in Tamil Nadu set the example of Humanity and Love. They lived in the darkness for over 35 days to save a bird’s family life because the bird had converted the village’s community switchboard into its nest. The people of this village set the example of humanity for everyone. A sparrow had conceived its eggs on the village’s main switchboard.

The people of the village mutually decided to carry its usual days without streetlights.

This idea of turning off the lights given by a 20 years old student named A Karuppuraja.

Karppuraja, who initially spotted the nest and said,

“He approached the village Panchayat heads who took charge of the matter. They said in an interview that because of coronavirus several people are homeless and have no shelter. They did not want the bird to suffer a similar thing and all people of this village agreed to cut the powerline”.

Nearly 100 families are living in this region and around 35 streetlights are used here. The day they noticed that a sparrow had laid three eggs they immediately took pictures of them and posted it in their village WhatsApp group, and asked people to cooperate.

They proved in the society we are living every living being are the part of the family. so it is our responsibility to save them too instead of killing them.
